Description
This view is from a favorite road where I used to walk my dogs. Autumn was my favorite season out there because of the colors, and also the quiet. The cows had already been moved to another pasture, and the summer residents had moved back to wherever they came from. I could let the dogs run without worrying about them chasing livestock or other dogs, but there were still some birds and the colors were spectacular. It was gloriously peaceful.
You may notice the keys in the foreground. This piece is also part of my “Unreconciled” series. In this series, keys are symbolic of things left behind in my past that were never quite resolved. The hills in the distance beckon me to move in, come closer, and explore the undiscovered possibilities.
