Hollyhocks are my favorite flowers. I had a forest of them growing in my yard when I lived in Bozeman. What I loved most about them was the way they provided habitat for birds and bees. They were also very cheerful. I can hear the bees buzzing when I look at this painting. It takes me right back to my hollyhock bed and those beautiful memories.
