I find inspiration all around me in even the simplest of things. This beautiful butterfly resting on some windfall apples on the back porch was irresistible. When I look at this image I can still feel the warmth of the afternoon and smell the sweet decay of the autumn leaves under the trees. It draws me into the mysteries found in nature.

You may notice the keys in the foreground. This piece is also part of my “Unreconciled” series. In this series, keys are symbolic of things left behind in my past that were never quite resolved.

Collect this work and allow the mysteries inherent in this image to enliven your space.
